Electrical services

From a tripping safety switch to a full switchboard upgrade, for homes and small shops.

What we do

Homes and small shops. No job too small to call about.

  • Faults and repairs

Power out in part of the house, a safety switch that keeps tripping, or a burning smell from a power point.

  • Switchboard upgrades

Old ceramic fuses replaced with a modern board and safety switches on every circuit.

  • Smoke alarms

Interconnected photoelectric alarms installed to the current Queensland standard.

  • Lighting

LED downlights, outdoor and garden lighting, and fans installed and wired.

  • Power points and circuits

Extra outlets, dedicated circuits for ovens and air conditioning, and outdoor power.

  • EV chargers

Home chargers installed on their own circuit, with a check of your switchboard capacity first.

Smoke alarms: the January 2027 deadline

Queensland law requires every home to have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms by 1 January 2027. Homes sold or newly leased have needed them since 2022.

Common questions

How much is a callout?

We tell you the callout fee on the phone, before we leave. Any repair is quoted and agreed before work starts.

Do you work after hours?

Urgent callouts outside business hours are available by phone. Planned work happens Monday to Friday.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Every job finishes with testing, and you get a certificate of testing and safety for your records or your rental agent.

Do my smoke alarms need replacing?

If they are older than ten years, are not photoelectric, or are not interconnected, they will need upgrading before 1 January 2027.

Can you install an EV charger at my place?

Usually. We check your switchboard and supply first, then recommend the right charger and circuit for your home.

Need a sparky this week?

Call, or book online and we will confirm a time.
