Everything I do, laid out plainly.
No confusing packages, no jargon. Here's exactly what's included when you work with me, from the first sketch through to a live site that keeps working for you.
There are two things I do: build a website from scratch, or rebuild one you already have. Everything else, the search setup, the mobile layout, the contact forms, isn't a separate package you add on, it's part of both. Each one below explains why it actually matters for a trade business, and what it tends to cost you when it isn't done properly.
Pick whichever one fits where you are now.
Custom Website Design & Build
A complete, ground-up website designed and built specifically around your business, your customers, and what makes you different from every other business in your trade, not a stock template with your logo dropped on top. This is the main service I offer, and it covers everything from the very first layout sketch through to a finished site.
Why this matters
A website gets a few seconds to tell someone they're in the right place. Most template sites fail that test, because a template is built to suit every business at once, which means it describes none of them properly. Someone lands on it, can't tell within a glance whether you cover their suburb or do the exact job they need, and goes back to the search results.
Building from scratch means the first thing a visitor sees is your trade, your service area, and an obvious way to contact you, instead of a stock photo of an office nobody works in. That's the whole difference between a site that looks fine and a site that books work.
- Custom layout, colours, and structure matched to your branding
- Mobile-first design so it looks sharp on any device, phones included
- Your trade and service area stated plainly, so nobody has to guess whether you cover them
- Clear calls-to-action throughout to turn browsers into enquiries
- A tap-to-call number and a contact form, both tested with a real submission before handover
- As many pages as your business needs (Home, Services, About, Contact, and more)
- Room to show off past jobs, reviews and photos, the things people actually judge a trade on
- Unlimited rounds of changes until you're fully happy with it
Website Redesigns
If your current site looks outdated, loads slowly, or doesn't work properly on phones, I'll rebuild it from the ground up using your existing content and photos, so you end up with something modern and fast without losing what you've already got.
Why this matters
Most websites don't get replaced because they broke. They get replaced because the business outgrew them. The work got better, the reviews came in, the van got signwritten, and the website stayed exactly where it was five or six years ago.
The trouble is that for a lot of customers it's the first thing they see of you. If it loads slowly, doesn't fit a phone screen, or looks like it was built a decade ago, people quietly assume the business runs the same way. That's almost never true, and it's an expensive assumption to leave sitting there uncorrected.
of mobile visits are abandoned if a page takes longer than three seconds to load. Nobody rings to tell you they gave up. Google, “The Need for Mobile Speed”
Things I most often find on an existing trade site:
- Slow to load on mobile data, usually from oversized photos or builder software
- A phone number that can't be tapped to call, so people have to write it down
- A contact form that stopped working at some point and nobody noticed
- No padlock in the address bar, which makes browsers warn visitors off before they've seen anything
- Services listed in wording that makes sense to the owner but not to a customer
- No mention of the suburbs actually covered, the one thing people came to check
What a redesign gives you:
- Keeps your existing content, photos, and branding
- A modern, clean layout that matches current design standards
- Faster loading times and full mobile responsiveness
- Everything rewired and retested, so enquiries reach you properly again
Whichever one you need, these come with it.
These aren't add-ons or an upgraded package. They're part of every site I build, because a website without them isn't really finished.
Built for phones first
Most people looking you up are on a phone, often standing on a job site. The design starts at phone size and scales up to desktop, rather than being squeezed down from a computer layout and hoped for the best.
Fast, clean code
Written by hand instead of assembled in a drag-and-drop builder, so there's no unused code piling up behind the scenes. Pages are compressed and cached, which keeps them quick even on patchy mobile reception.
Search-ready structure
Titles, headings and image descriptions written around your actual trade and the suburbs you actually cover, so Google has something clear to match a local search against.
Enquiries that reach you
A contact form that quietly fails is worse than no form at all, because the customer thinks they've reached you. Every form and tap-to-call button is tested with a real submission before handover.
Yours once it's paid
You get the actual website files and full ownership, not a site rented back to you monthly. Host it where you like, change it yourself, or hand it to someone else years from now.
Revisions until it's right
No capped number of rounds and no charge for changing your mind on layout, wording, colours or photos. It keeps going until you look at it and think yes, that's my business.
SEO comes as standard
This is built into every site I make. It isn't an upgrade, an add-on, or a separate line on the invoice. A website without it isn't really finished, it's just a website nobody can find.
SEO is a jargon word for something fairly simple: setting your site up so Google can work out what you do and where you do it. Google can't look at a photo of a finished deck and understand it. It reads the words, the headings and the structure behind the page. Get that wrong and you can have a genuinely good-looking website that brings in nothing, because as far as Google is concerned it never made clear which trade it belongs to or which suburbs it covers.
Being straight with you: nobody can promise a particular position on Google, and anyone who does is guessing. What this gives you is a site that isn't holding itself back. I also don't manage or edit your Google Business Profile, this is purely about how the website itself is built.
of people who search for something nearby on their phone visit a related business within a day. Showing up for local searches is most of the battle. Google, local search research
And everything else that comes with it
- Page titles and headings written around your trade and your location
- Your service areas named properly, so local searches have something to match
- Image descriptions so search engines understand your photos
- A logical page structure that's easy for people and search engines to follow
- Layouts checked on phone, tablet and desktop before handover
- Photos resized and compressed so they don't slow the site down
- A tap-to-call phone number, so nobody has to write it down
- A contact form, tested with a real submission before you get the site
- Sections for past jobs, reviews, services and FAQs, whichever you want
- A map or location section if customers need to find you in person
- Links through to your Instagram or Facebook, if you use them
- Clearly-labelled placeholders if your photos or wording aren't ready yet
- Guidance on getting hosting and your domain sorted, even though I don't run them
- 30 days of free bug fixes after the site is handed over
Not everything on this list suits every business, and I won't pad a site out with sections you don't need. We'll work out which of it actually applies to yours.
Not sure which of these you need?
That's genuinely fine, most people aren't. Tell me about your business in the Get a Website form and I'll work out what makes sense for it. You'll see a working version of the site before you're asked to pay anything, so there's no risk in finding out.
